The Regular Update for Thursday has been published.

In this update the daily technical analysis is given for the major U.S. equity indexes and for WTI-CRUDE OIL, GOLD and the VIX.

We at ShepWave have been in continual communication with a lot of our more active traders for the past few weeks. The recent activity for the major U.S. equity indexes is showing some potentially critical technicals and possible NEW-TRADE set-ups for short-to-mid term traders. But make no mistake--any trade signals we are seeing in the shorter time frame charts (e.g. 15 minute or 60 minute) are not necessarily going to translate as a similar signal in the longer term time frames. Hence, the importance of always keeping the larger term context in mind even as you trade in and out of short term aggressive and highly profitable trades.

We are seeing some key technicals in a lot of these indexes:

(1) Dow Industrials has a new all time high--finally.  Notice how we have been waiting for that for many months.

(1a) This new high in the Dow Industrials index is giving us some potentially highly critical technicals on the weekly and daily time frames.

(2) WTI-Crude Oil continues to bounce above 50 day moving average--having found support at the 200 day moving average. NEW RECENT HIGH AS MENTIONED was seen on 10/3/2018. Will this trend change? Is this from Hurricane Florence?

(3) GOLD has some aggressive short term signals and we are anticipating a mid term to longer term signal soon!

(4) The $INDU and $SPX have newly formed wedge patterns. Pay close attention.
