DO GAP OPENS ALWAYS FILL?
The answer is yes, usually.
But remember they fill: (1) not necessarily on the same day they occur--as the gap down open did on Thursday in the U.S. equity markets, and (2) there are some particular gap-open patterns which would necessitate that the GAP does NOT FILL!
Please read the notes in all of the charts for Friday very carefully. Read them all the way down to the 15 min QQQ chart. Note that there is a slightly different analysis possibility for the QQQ/NDX.
Now is not the time to be a lazy trader or investor.
