YOU JUST CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP!

MARKETS TRADING AS ANTICIPATED

So far so good. The signals in the major U.S. equity indexes continue to unfold as anticipated.

Remember we are always looking for the next confirmation signal. Notice how just a month or so ago we also saw some clear downward movement in the major U.S. equity indexes--but then we saw some wedge patterns in the major ETF/Indexes which pointed to a rally--which did ensue. We are continually looking for confirmation signals.

Point: traders who make hasty assumptions in their trading will always lose. The objective trader is always looking for confirmation patterns and signals.

Just Published: Regular Update for Thursday. Daily View of the Equity Indexes, Crude Oil, Gold and the VIX.

There was not a big need for much new notes and analysis. Notice how the major U.S. equity index and even the commodities have been trading just as anticipated.

CRUDE OIL remains predictable and we are awaiting a potential new trend change there OR a new signal.

Also notice how the VIX has been predictable?  I just don't see where all the confusion comes from here for a lot of analysts. I think a lot of the newer subscribers to ShepWave are finally getting the concept and trading disciplines we use here. Focus on the wave pattern and the implications, and signals--without overstepping the boundaries of what is seen.  I do understand that I go into some depth on some of the technicals--but the idea is to learn the principles so that the very same principles can be applied to any trading vehicle.
