Crude oil is affirming our mid term view for both crude oil and equities. The futures are down at this time. Remember that typically a trader would be looking for a gap down open to fill; or that the indexes would go up from the opening minutes of trading. However there are certain chart patterns that would actually support a gap not being filled. Also there are criteria one can use in trading to support either the bullish or bearish view of a gap down open in the current circumstances; these criteria are given.
 
Market volatility could be heating up; get ready to make some profits.
