Markets are GREEN. as of 2:15 PM ET. IS it time to 'bet the House' to the LONG SIDE?  The Financial pundits on television are calling a bottom..... is it so?  (watch out for emotion dictating your trading/investing decisions) 

Read the technicals in the markets as shown in today's update.  Short Term Trade signal as shown in the 15 min QQQQ Chart COULD be a good MID TERM TRADE; See triggers and targets.

BUT, the most important technical data we are looking at currently is shown in the S&P chart in today's update... very important for mid to longer term traders.

Please be careful trying to predict the market reaction to 'News Items'.  I know a lot of people have basically been 'brainwashed' by the popular 'Financial Television Programs'; and it can be a hard habit to break to NOT feed in to the emotion of the markets especially when you have people on the Television saying 'RALLY!!" or something of the like when the DOW is up ...

Read the technicals in today's update which ShepWave is watching closely.  Remember, as stated in recent ShepWave Updates we have probably entered in to a NEW TREND CHANNEL.  We are dealing with 'technicals' not seen for decades.  In fact the exact nature of the current market action 'really' has never been seen in my opinion.  Stay Objective and Stay Alert!

ShepWave current positions are up nicely.  May be time to take some MORE profits off the table.  If you have not added a considerable amount of WEALTH to your portfolio over the last year.. it may be time to turn off the TV (lol).   Most of the Television Financial Pundits were issuing targets of 16,000-20,000 for the DOW last year and gave no warning to a possible 4,000 point downturn in the Dow Industrials Index.  Now, it seems like with every rally they are convinced that a bottom is in.  Remember:  markets never go straight up or straight down.

  BELOW were the current positions as of Market Close Tuesday, October 8, 20008.

QID position up 31.76 Points.... a 72% PROFIT (this is NOT an options play)

DEC QQQQ Options Play UP $6.10/share or 488% Profit  (yes that is Four Hundred Eighty Eight PERCENT PROFIT, after cost of the contracts.)

DEC DIA Options Play UP $14.14/share or 282% Profit

JPM Options Play UP $3.65/share or 73% profit

We have the two HEDGE ('straddle' option) Positions which we entered Monday.  Even if these go bust we are doing well.  BUT, it may be time to either put on some more hedge positions or take more profits. Read the notes below for possible Trade Signals and targets in Tonight's Update.  Specific BUY SIGNAL Technicals shown in tonight's update with Ideal Target areas.  This is an AGGRESSIVE trade set up for NIMBLE traders.
